I have an iPhone 4 with jailbreak. Itunes is telling me that there is a new version of itunes available. Can I do this safely without losing my jailbreak?

Also, if the time comes that I have to do a restore because something gets messed up, can I do it without itunes automatically bumping me up to 4.02?
    I currently have 4.01.

Do not update if you want to keep your jailbreak.

Im not sure, but I think you can update your itunes and be fine, but dont update your OS. Makes sure you back up your SHSH's just in case you do have to restore to 4.0.2, that way you can downgrade back to 4.0.1 and rejailbreak.

You can update iTunes BUT do NOT update your iPhone to 4.0.2. you'll loose JB. And update does ABSOLUTELY nothing but take your JB. Cydia has a note on home page about it.
