    After the most recent update to iTunes, I am getting "We could not complete youe iTunes request, Error 5002" error when I try to download free updates to my apps.

    The download actually happens, but I still get the error message.

    Any idea what's happening?

    I am using iPhone 3Gs and an iPod Touch.

    Try downloading iTunes again, that should fix it.

    i believe it thinks that the computer isn't authorized. try reauthorizing your computer and see if that fixes your problem.

    Reauthorizing the computer did not work. I'll try reinstallin itunes on top of the current installation.

    The wierd thing is: despite the error message, the apps actually download successfully.

    Re-installing iTunes (repair install) didn't help either.
