I'm getting ready to wipe down the hard drive on my primary PC, to re-install Vista. Before I do that, I'd like to "transfer" my iTunes to my laptop. I have iTunes installed on my laptop, but it seems as though you can only sync your iPhone to the "primary" source.

So how do you "move" your iTunes to another PC?

Some, yes. Some was bought from Amazon, some was imported from CD...

Where is your music stored? In "My Music" or in the iTunes folder? (which is located in that folder). Transfer what ever folder has all the music to an external HDD or the laptop. Install iTunes on the computer. Then delete the iTunes library file it creates and replace it with the one you moved, make sure you put all the music files in the same place.

Open iTunes, everything should be how you had it. For the iPhone, as far as I know you will have to start over as it only syncs with one iTunes media library. But since your iTunes library file is still intact your playlists and everything should still be there, along with apps to rebuild very easily.
