iPod Touch 5th Gen iOS 8

Hello all I have an iPod touch 5th GEN still running iOS 7.1.2 and was thinking about upgrading it to iOS 8 however I am afraid of performance and other issues that may arise. Has anybody upgraded and how is performance?

I vote to stay on iOS 7. Honestly, I just found it to be the most stable on my 5c. I upgraded anyways but there was obvious app crashing issues and a tad bit of lag. Yes, I did a fresh install with no restore.

Mine is on iOS 8.1.3. I don't have any issues, but I do believe my battery life was better on iOS 7. Still, I'll get a good full day of use out of it.

Mine's on 8.1 and working fine. Just a bit more lag than ios 7.

Hi freddyk2006,

Yeah, sure you can do this without any hesitation, as my sister was using iOS 7.1.2 and then she upgraded the current iOS to iOS 8. Its working quicker than the previous one and with default upgrade features on the same OS. So without having any doubt you can move to iOS 8.
