problem with synings

this problem started about a moth ago, every time i try to sync my ipod touch 4th to itunes to put music on it it pops up a message that says it cant be backed up then says it needs to be restored, and my second question is that i might be buying a new laptop after christmas, what do i have to do to sync it up to my ipod do i have to transfer my music to my new laptop? thanks

Restore as new, and re sync. Yes you will have to put all of your music on your new laptop if you want to start syncing to that laptop.

Would i just sync my ipod to my new laptop and the songs get put on it or would i have to us a usb drive to transfer all my music to my new laptop, Thanks
