iPod Touch alternative media player

Hey guys im planning on getting me an iPod Touch (any gen) just for music and videos. I dont care about apps since my Google Nexus S does a great job. I would like to know if theres a drag and drop method of loading music and videos and having a 3rd party media app like Android with user EQ and playlist directly on device. The reason i want an iPod is because every new damn clock radio, speaker set, and stereo system has an iPod dock. I like ipods but i dont like iTunes , sound quality is not great and no custom EQ with sound enhancements (like PowerAmp on Android). PowerAmp makes my Nexus S sound amazing but also takes a toll on the battery. PLZ dont flame me

I haven' seen anything with an equalizer besides Tap DJ, but dTunes is a popular music player on the iPhone/iPod. That app is jailbreak only though.
