Weird Anomaly with my husband’s iPhone 8

Has anyone heard of this? My husband just told me that his phone is acting oddly. Whenever he uses his magnifying glass, he gets a message that his battery is low. He then reboots the phone and has plenty of charge and his battery. So basically, what’s happening the phone is misreporting a low battery.

Thoughts?

Did this start after the 16 upgrade? I’ve had what I consider several “oddities” since that upgrade (several of them).

Sorry for the confusion, the oddities for me have been happening after the iOS 16 upgrade(I haven't received my IP 14 PM yet).

He definitely has updated to iOS 16, and possibly to 16.0.2. I'll check his phone tonight. I'm hoping that this anomaly will go away after the next update.

It’s the server administrator in me that uses OS upgrade on everything with an OS

I checked this morning and he's not on 16.0.2 YET! Let the nagging begin!

16.0.3 is supposed to be dropping soon, maybe that might fix the issues on the 8.
