Although Verizon iPhones are unlocked, you still can't use it on Sprint's network, if I'm not mistaken. With Apple's SIM-FREE iPhone 7/7 Plus models, you can use them on ANY network, whether GSM or CDMA. At least that's my understanding.

You can't? Why not? If you purchased outright, I'd think that you could is it on sprint as well.

As stated in my earlier post, I could be mistaken. I was always under the impression that Unlocked Verizon iPhones worked only with GSM carriers, whether domestic or international, but could not work on Sprint's network without needing a firmware update of some sort. Things may be different now.
