Gmail reply text field way too big! Why?
OK, so this looks like the landscape email text field. But why is it on the portrait mode of Gmail reply. It's annoying. It goes way left and right and everything is zoomed real big. Have I missed something? My iCloud email doesn't do that way. I'm on iP 5. Been doing it a couple weeks. Any fix to make it normal? ☮

Do you access your Gmail using the native Mail app or the official Gmail app?

Native mail app. Only when I reply to an email.

I've tried screenshots. But you can't tell much. But I'll try again. It's like when I reply to a gmail email, the text field can go back and forth. I can move it with my finger. If I post a photo with the it, it's extremely huge.

Ok, first shot is the normal portrait mode email text field.

These are of a reply where the text field is too big. It will slide back and forth. It appears to be the landscape mode on portrait view.

Unable to replicate on my iPhone 5 and 6. Maybe some bug related to the bold fonts you have turned on.
Try resetting your phone.

Resetting does nothing. I recently restored my phone as new. It's only Gmail that does it. Outlook, Comcast and iCloud don't do it. I could try signing out if all 4 Gmail accounts, then sign back in. Funny how it only does it on replies.

Can't figure this one out at all. It's the iOS mail app that is doing everything, Gmail shouldn't have anything to do with it.
It reminds of how on Android the generic email app doesn't auto size emails (at least v4.4.4 did not) to the screen but the Gmail app does.
Try deleting your gmail accounts add them back. This is very strange lol.

Tried deleting one Gmail account and adding it back. Did nothing to help. Not all addresses I reply to do that way. I haven't yet figured out the common denominator with those that do.

Re: Gmail reply text field way too big! Why?
I had reason to Reset All Settings yesterday. This issue is back. It must have been Reset All Settings last time that caused it as well. It fixed itself at some point. Probably an OS update. I had on the phone and they had never heard of this. Their only possible solution is a restore. No thanks! Not THAT big of a deal. But is just wierd. Anyone ever see this after they Reset All Settings?
