If Apple decided to launch a new IPhone in March, 6 months after the 6 and 6 plus, would you upgrade? Would you upgrade every 6 months if Apple decided to release?

That's a mighty big "if"... I won't believe it until Tim Cook is pictured announcing it.

It is a big IF, but if Apple decided to go down that route of releasing a new device every 6 months then what would you do?

I wouldn't upgrade. I would be pretty disappointed as I like the way it is now.

No, I wouldn't upgrade. I don't find a need to have the latest iPhone and I also don't want to wade through all the bugs that seem to come with a new set-up.

once a year is good enough for me, having to buy 3-4 different phones on different platforms a year is bad enough.

Apple would not do that mainly because it would not be financially beneficial for them to do that. Not enough people can afford and will pay full price for a new iPhone every 6 months. Every year, they get 1/2 the users upgrading that are now off-contract and the next year a new batch of users becomes off-contract. Apple isn't about releasing hardware... They are about making money.

I would have to see what is in the upgrade.
As it is the rumours that I've seen are for a smaller iPhone which I would not do, since I'm upgrading to the Plus in September.

I'm a fan of S series which is release 1 year after the original series is released. If in March apple release the S series of the iPhone 6 and 6+, I won't bite it unless it really have ameliorated stuff and with a ram upgraded.

I don't have the money to upgrade if this were to happen, but I still wouldn't upgrade even if I did have the money. Once a year is plenty of upgrades for me.

I would if it's got a smaller iPhone in that line up. I'm still not entirely happy with the size of the 6. Turns out I really do just want a small phone and my Mini in unison.

The smartphone market is pretty mature now. There isn't much that changes from year to year. Yes there's decent updates and incremental improvements but nothing so drastic as it was in the earlier days. So it would be much harder to entice people to upgrade every 6months.

I think most people update every 2 years as it is except for the enthusiasts and those not constrained by finances.
