Anybody camping out in the Phoenix area?

Just saw the Scottsdale Quarter store on the morning news. Lots of people there. Not sure about the other Phoenix Apple Stores. I’m sure they’re all packed with campers, though. They always are - especially Arrowhead, since it’s the only store on the west/north part of the valley.

I just showed up at my local best buy and everyone was in their cars. I just walked right up to the door.

Tons of people in Burnaby, BC. I am really far in the line hoping they can suppy everyone, but thats really hard because there is plenty of ******* resellers. That sucks.

Confused. What is the problem with this situation? They got in line in front of you. The store policy is to limit purchases to TWO devices. I don’t see the problem. Would "they" have cast racial tones at you if the situation had been reversed? I think not. Disparaging anyone for race (and lots of other reasons) is NOT cool.

It's just a phone. There will be plenty soon.

This is not a racial question, that's reality. Apple did not release iPhone 6's in China. That means they need to supply a HUUGE market tho.

Apple Store, Manhattan Village, CA
As of now, there is no line.
Apple store specialist said they will open at 8:00am, with the mall opening at 5:00am.
I plan to arrive at 1 or 2am.

I'll check out and will post photos of Apple Store, The Grove LA later on tonight.

If you Google Map "Manhattan Village Shopping Center", you'll see right down the street is an Addiction Treatment Facility. In case anybody feels like they bought too many iPhones.

But again, it’s simply a matter of first come, first served.

BTW, Apple hasn’t released the iPhone 6 in China (yet) due to certification issues. They are working on it now. The reports that I read say they have one of two required certs.

Fun fact, Tyson's Corner was one of two of the day-one Apple Stores opened back in the day. Anyone know the other?

Glendale Galleria in Glendale, California. Both opened on the same day at 10:00 am. But because Tyson's Corner store in in the eastern time zone, it actually opened 3 hours before the California store.

Hey, I?ve been there, done that. Twice. I am not doing the Apple Store campout this year, I highly recommend that every Apple fan does it at least once. It really is a cool experience.

Definitely. I did it for the IPhone 5 a couple of years back. Interesting experience and one I'm happy not to repeat. This morning at about 8am (midnight in CA) I shuffled to my front door, in my slippers and bathrobe, took the package from the delivery guy, shovelled some toast into my mouth and set to the device with gusto. I came up for air at lunch time then went back for round two with some coffee and sandwiches, leaving a slightly amused girlfriend in a whirl of chicory aroma.

I think she went out in the afternoon. She said something to me but by that point I was madly trying out functions, setting the phone up and playing with it like a five year old on Christmas morning...

That's where I tried to get a 5s at last year before heading unsuccessfully back to the UK. I stayed with a friend in Mount Washington and the Galleria Apple Store was my closest.

What a deal!

My wife was at work today. I work from home, and today was a very quiet day, luckily. My phone didn’t come until about 12:30, but it’s been non-stop exploring since it got here. And yeah, it is kind of like Christmas morning. :)

Apparently the 5th Ave store in NYC had well over 1000 people in line.

From what I saw of it last night when I stopped by to inquire how they were going to handle pre-orders the line was wrapped down 58th street then up madison ave then back down 59th street and back up 5th ave to halfway between East 60th Street and East 61st. I showed up about 8:15 and got in the preorder line and had my phone in hand (iPhone 6 plus space grey 128gb) by about 9:30....hung around to use the wifi to restore and left the store by about 11:30. I would never attempt to wait on line at this store unless I pre-ordered.
