Expanding screen on xs

Does anyone run in to this problem? when i connect my iphone xs in my car screen via mirror link I don’t get fullscreen, all the nav apps including maps, google maps and waze they comeout panoramic..help please!!! thank you

I’m not sure if I’m understanding you. When you connect your iPhone to a car with CarPlay capabilities, it will not mirror your iPhone. I would assume most infotainment display will be in landscape mode so what you’re seeing may be normal. If I’ve misunderstood your post, please clarify. Thanks.

I drive a infiniti g37 but it doesn’t have car play i install a mirror link box a while ago and works awesome with my iphone 8, i have no issue at all with iphone 8 or 7,it shows full screen but with iphone xs i doesn’t show full screen only panorama

1st pic its navigation app with iphone 7 ios 12, 2nd pic its iphone xs ios 12, as you can see iphone 7 its full screen and iphone xs its only half screen not sure if is a setting or something else,can you please move this post to the right threat if i got it wrong so others can help. Thank you

My guess is that it is because of the screen ratio of the two phones, since it is just being "mirrored." The iPhone 7 has a 16:9 screen ratio, while the Xs has a 19.5:9 screen ratio -- since the 7 has a "wider" screen, it causes it to be "taller" on your car's display. Looking at the pictures, even the iPhone 7 doesn't fully fill the display on the car, the ratio on the car's screen appears to be about 3:2. I think if you compare the picture to what is displayed on the two phones, you'll find that what is displayed on the phone screen is accurately represented on the car display.
