I took this in portrait mode and changed it to stage lighting in editing. I initially bought the Xr but really missed using the portrait mode for everything (not just people).

Funny coincidence! I’m also in Michigan (Northern Detroit suburb) and we have a very similar dog, a soft-coated wheaten terrier / standard poodle mix (codenamed “Whoodle”) named Finnigan. Here’s a pic I snapped of him a few months back using portrait mode.
