Excellent and solid iPhone. I had the Space Gray 256GB version for one year and loved it. There are plenty of threads on this device. Type Xs Max in the search area.
If you bring up the question in the context of one possibly available against the new models you could say it has some features shy of current flagship models but also some specs that top the new the 11.
In my case I still find it so good I can't yet rationalize a trade.
Sort of funny. Last year went from X to XS Max and couldn’t get use to size!!! Had already traded my X in so swapped my XS Max for a XS. This year I decided I’d get the Pro Max and learn to deal with the size because I wanted the specs that came with it. I’ve had it a bit now and the 6.5” Pro Max is perfect. So if I was more patient last year I’d have probably gotten use to the XS Max.
I’ve had mine for almost 8 months and still love it. I was going to upgrade to the 11 Pro Max next month, but decided to buy a new case and screen protector instead. Next year I’ll upgrade to the 2020 iPhone Pro Max.
Bought my XS MAX two days before the 11 Pro Max was announced for preorder, 9/11. Everyone was telling me to return it and get the new one. I didn’t because I didn’t like the 3 camera setup. Came from the X which I had for about 2 years. I like this phone. Going to keep it and see what happens next year.
I like my XS Max so well that it’s likely to be the first iPhone model I’ve actually held onto without upgrading. I’m not a huge photographer, so the super duper camera upgrade on the new model isn’t a draw to me...especially not a $1000 one. This phone does everything right. I’ll hang onto it a while longer.
I upgraded to the Xs max from the tiny iPhone SE, oh well, I am content. I especially like the 2 sim feature as I have separated phone numbers for work and private.
I think the Xs Max now is best value, either new or second hand
