Anyone jumping to the s10 or s10+

An ultra-wide angle camera on the iPhone XI would be welcome...as well as a battery that will last all day or more. Apple really needs to sort out its batteries.

I like the simplicity of iOS (despite it being boring sometimes) but I do wish it had a fraction of the customisation options Android has (hopefully iOS 13 will fix that). An example is changing the default apps. I hate the Files app for example.

As for the camera...Apple’s camera hardware is good, not quite as good as Samsung, Huawei and co but still great. An area the iPhone needs to improve on in terms of camera strength is low light photography. Their camera app also needs work...because it has only a handful of features. For example a Pro and Night Mode are sorely needed in my opinion...maybe even an AI optimiser.

Firstly that article only refers to the US. In the rest of the world (e.g Europe, India and China) the S10 is selling very well (in part thanks to that Samsung’s market share in Europe jumped). If you bother to do some research you will find out that the S10 series is selling better than the S9 in the US. The S10 HASN’T flopped.

Get some proper facts and statistics to back up sweeping statements next time.

Samsung financials disclosed the lack of demand for the s10, globally not just the US.


Wrong again.
European sales of Galaxy s has declined last quarter, Samsung flooded the European market with 12 million units of the a series, the s series declined yoy.

That’s Samsung’s budget line. S 10 sales has collapsed in Europe and globally.

FYI. Samsung’s market share in China is less than 1 percent. No idea what you were talking about there.

You don’t need research or statistics, Samsung disclosed it in their financials last quarter.

Maybe you should read that instead of what ever your basing your opinions on.


S10 flopped so hard that second hand prices are in free fall. Last year it took s9 3 months to lose 60% of its value, s10 lost 60% of its value less than a month after launch.

Samsung mobile isn’t doing any better, last two quarters profits fell by 60 percent yoy.

Yeah because it is now expensive to purchase a flagship phone. Also, people are holding on to their phones longer because they still work. Phones are better made and some are affordable with flagship specs.

That’s all true but more consumers purchased a more expensive iPhone XS Max flagship than a cheaper s10 Flagship last quarter. So don’t know how that applies to consumers holding in to their devices longer.

Consumers are more comfortable spending 1000 dollars on an iPhone rather than 1000 on a S10, that much is clear.

I’m unfamiliar with the term super cycle.
Can you quantify that?

If you re you talking about the q1 warning issued by apple, that has been resolved

They recovered from that in q2. Actually if you listened in on any of the past two conference calls during the quarterly earnings release, the opposite was disclosed.

Last quarter was apples best q3 ever recorded.

Apple is actually doing great, services is talking off so is wearables and iPad sales. iPhone alone is responsible for 28 billion in revenue last quarter.

Samsung not so much.
One of the reasons is that poor s10 and premium sales have hit their display and semiconductor business quite hard since Samsung mobile is one of their biggest customers.


According to Samsung this quarter is going to be even worse.

Just picked up the note 10 plus and it's awesome in my opinion.

I tried the S10+ for a week and i had to come back tp my iPhone. I highly disliked how the picture quality was. Lol

If you want more natural photos go for iPhone.

If you want more vibrant colours, ultra-wide and better low light go for Samsung.

Both have the same zoom.
