Settings on my phone is showing an alert

But not finding it. Very strange. When was setting phone up at Verizon the rep couldn’t find as well

The only time I get a notification badge on the settings icon is when there's a software update. Could that be it?

Definitely saying there’s an update. Outside of force closing Settings, hard resetting your phone (volume up then volume down then hold the power button) and checking the update section again.....I would have to do some research.

My phone is up to date. I have done everything!

I got my Max on Sunday. It’s all up to date. The rep couldn’t figure it out either. I sold wireless for 5 yrs. nothing is fixing it
And no update !

Did you go into the iCloud section in Settings?

Perhaps you’re running out of storage.

I just had a red badge alert on mine. Wanted me to verify my Apple ID. Odd. Not sure I did anything to cause that.

I had this problem when I upgraded to 12.1.3. you need to logout of iCloud and then log back in. Did the trick
