On the old OS’ wasn’t there a setting for vibrate intensity? I can’t find it on my Max.

    Anyone else?

I have 7 Plus and I don’t see a setting for vibrate intensity.

Settings--->Sounds $ Haptics--->Sounds And Vibration Patterns--->[one you want to change e.x. "New Mail"]--->Vibration (scroll up from the Alert Tones)--->Create New Vibration.

I think that's what you may have been looking for?

I'm glad that's what you were looking for! I'm not sure why the vibration settings are sort of hidden, but at least they're still there.
