Anyone else do this? I bought the 256 X last year. Before I ordered the new one last week, I checked my storage. ....23 gigs used out of 256 on a phone I’ve had for a year! Insane so I decided to save a few bucks and get the 64 gig, which I know I won’t come close to using up. (I don’t take a lot of pictures or videos)

I went from 256-512. Im only using about 100-150g just in music and movies right now but I don’t like my hard drive being full because it seems to run slower lol

I have a 64gb 8 Plus now and my next will be 256gb. Phones now have amazing cameras and 4K video capabilities, I want to make better use of the video tech in the future. 64gb won’t be gone in a flash so it will be 256 or 512 for me.

I have too much stuff for 64gb and not enough stuff for 256gb. In the last year or so I stopped buying music and finally switched to streaming. Music is what takes up the majority of the space on my phone.

Same for me now that we have messages in iCloud. Sixty-four gigs is more than enough for me now

Spoke too soon. I was actually good with 64 but system storage kept varying from 18GB - 30GB prompting the stupid “running out of storage” message. Exchanged for a 256GB.

The 256GB seems to be a good place for me and the way I use storage on my iPhone. 64GB is not enough and 512GB would be overkill.

I simply buy the biggest storage available as I never really know what my usage will be and I don't want one of the lightning dongles on my device to backup photo's we should get more than 5GB of storage from Apple or at least give users of a 1-2 year storage upgrade with the phone purchase.

I would definitely have done that too. You know your useage best and made a good decision! I have so many pictures and videos I go well past 64 gigs, but I don’t get close to the 256 I had on my 8Plus - but I had to stick with 256 on my Xs. Wish there was a 128gb.

I’m a big Instagram user and post tons of pics and vids of my dogs.

256 is always enough for me.. I keep a lot of docs/pdfs on mine and photos for work. I have Apple Music but keep about 5K songs local. I don't play any games at all. I do keep some videos on the phone I can watch when bored, but that's about it. No matter how much I stuff on my phone plus extra I never have exceeded 100GB. I float around 80GB on average. So 64GB will make me conserve and 512GB is overkill. If they had a 128GB Base and it saves me $150 I would do that. But we have been asking for that for a long time, and seems it will never happen.

I have a 64gb with 40 left, i stream and use iCloud. The 64gb max was $270 more than the X64gb last year so thought that was ok being the size bigger, i just can't break that $2k plus barrier for a 256gb yet :) My wife and daughter though i got 8/8plus 256gb so i don't have to manage their usage ;)

Stay with 64. Wish Apple would of offer base with 128 but I can probably get by. I regularly have 22 gigs left so not a big deal.
