I am considering buying the iPhone XS Max and was just wondering if I would need to buy a new charger. I currently have an iPhone X.

Wireless charger does not come included in the box. But any Qi enabled wireless chargers should work with the X Series. You will have to buy one though.

No you should be fine with the same wireless charger you currently have. As far as all the specs sheets go I didn't see anything of them upgrading the wireless charging to be any faster so you wouldn't need anything new.

You will, however, need to buy a fast charging wall adapter to take advantage of fast charging as they don't include it in the box. Just a standard slow charger.

One certainly does not "need to buy" as it's an option, not a requirement.

Yes Mr. TECHNICALLY but it's definitely worth getting as it really makes a difference.

Not to me.. when working my phone is often on my Qi angle Dock, so it keeps charged.. when in my car it's connected with USB for CarPlay, and at night it's on a Qi flat dock while I sleep. I don't think I have seen my iPhone 8+ get below 50% since I have had it.

Your current wireless charger should work just fine with your new iPhone XS.

The new phones support 10W wireless charging so if you want to charge faster then a new one would be in order. I was hoping their charging pad was coming out and I guess as they say its vaporware. So I may look for one that does 2 devices at a time so I can charge my work and XS Max at the same time and move my Mophie wireless charger to my office or put it in the living room.

Thanks on the wireless chargers. The Samsung one didn't appeal to me as the second charging spot is smaller and was geared towards the watch aspect of things. I would like to think apple is going to release it or at least announce defeat and move on. There are a few other dual chargers on Amazon but their brands I don't recognize.

Although the blatant ripping off of design and technology is alive and well https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Blue...mUvbUpU3088103 as you can see these just like AirPods.
