Well I took the plunge and got the Xr last night. I was on the fence up until I bought it. The camera and 3D Touch were my hang ups. I can already tell 3D Touch will be a nonissue even though I used it a lot. I used the 2x camera a lot but these two things didn’t not justify the cost difference. The battery life was a big one for me and it sounds like the Xs Max is still having connection issues with Verizon and those two tipped the scale for me.
After playing with it overnight I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

That’s good to know. If I were to go and buy an iPhone XR, I know I’d be happy with it, too. . Anyway, congratulations on your purchase.

For me it’s still hard to justify paying more than a grand for a phone. Hence why I’m also leaning towards an XR.
