I'm evaluating 3rd party backup software for iOS device and I have narrowed down my search to CopyTrans and iExplorer. I did a search for both these products from the main iMore site, but the results are several years old.

I like how CopyTrans will read contacts/messages/calendar/notes while my phone is plugged in, but I also like how iExplorer can view media and other data. I don't like how iExplorer needs an iTunes backup to view contacts/messages/calendar/notes.

Can anyone weigh in on their personal experience w/either product? I've already did my initial search engine searches, I'm looking for personal experiences and options. Thanks.

I don’t have a need for either, but hopefully those who routinely use one or the other will reply soon.
