iPhone screen turned on by itself?

Hey just curious if anyone else ran into this on iOS 12 I had my X sitting on top of my 7 not sure if that would cause it but I walked into my office to my screen being on. No one had been in there and no notifications. No mail running I’m background. Just really confused

I had this happen when I put my phone on top of my android phone, it was detecting the NFC chip and wanting to make a purchase with the wallet.
