Pictures on iphone X (smaller size)

Hi Guys

I'm still rockin' my iPhone X during my 14 day trial. I'm coming from an iPhone 7 Plus.

I noticed that my pictures and videos are smaller in size. I'm assuming I can't get the picture to take up the entire screen (up to or past the notch). Am I missing something?

You can get them full sized (at least in most apps), you just need to use the two finger expand gesture, and then you can use a pinch gesture to get them back to normal. This is the one major "issue" with the new aspect ratio, to get photos and videos to not be pillarboxed you lose part of the top and bottom of the video/picture.
