Super Thin Peel case for the iPhone X

There are cases that you buy for the ultimate protection and then there are cases that you buy for the essential protection that lets you appreciate your phone's beautiful design. Peel cases fit the latter. With its unique slim profile and minimalistic design, Peel is an excellent choice for those who are looking to carry your iPhone naked yet protect it from simple scratches or dirt.



Peel is just 0.35mm thin, really thin. There is literally no branding anywhere. Just the case. That is it. This is what I love about Peel, keeping it simple and minimal.



If you haven't used a Peel case before then you should read the instructions that come with it to ensure you are installing it properly. Basically, you have to slide in your iPhone X into the bottom of your case first and then carefully snap in the top two corners. Just make sure you take your time so you don't break the case.



I chose the semi-transparent matte finish Silver color to go with my Silver iPhone X and love how it fits right in!

If you didn't appreciate its slim profile initially, you will once you see how precisely it fits your iPhone X. It feels almost like there is no case. Even running your fingers along the edges, it is hard to feel the presence of a case.

The cutouts for the buttons, speaker grills, and the lightning charging port are cut to its perfection.



The buttons are easily accessible and retain its original stainless steel build as the case doesn't specifically cover the buttons.



The camera cutout gets the same treatment as well.



The case doesn't offer a tight grip but I will say that it is not slippery. Silver color variant comes with a matte finish and that could be the reason why it's not slippery. Depending on the color you choose, the case comes with the following finishes:
- Glassy finish
- Solid matte finish
- Semi-transparent matte finish

I installed the Peel case the day I got my iPhone X and have no complaints so far. Yes, it does not offer much protection, but then I knew that already. What it gives me is the pleasure to enjoy the iPhone X's design.



There is no doubt Peel case appeals to a niche audience, espeically the ones who like to carry their devices naked or use skins to cover the back, but it is still a good choice if you are just looking for a thin case for your iPhone X.

Never used a Peel but have tried a Totallee Scarf before. They’re first cousins.

Excellent review and now I’ll need to fight the temptation to hit up Amazon for a black Peel case for my X.

Great review! I had a Peel case for my 7 Plus. I appreciated that it was almost impossible to tell it was there. My major issue with the Peel was that the plastic seemed to wear down after a while, especially around the buttons. It’s also a bit pricey for a thin, minimalist case.

The case takes the originality of the iPhone X, not very appealing don't like it.

I bought the Totallee for my X. I was gonna get a Peel, but they don't sell on Amazon unfortunately. I have to use that Prime membership for something.

Excellent review and photos. I tried a peel case a while back (I want to say it was for the iPhone 6s Plus). The only issue I had with it is that it made the phone even more slippery than it was without a case.

I haven't had the issue with their S8 cases. I also have the case for Note 8. So, will certainly know if it wears down after a while. I will update the review if that happens

Depending on the case finish that could vary. I got the matte finish while some colors have the glossy finish which could make it slippery.
