Force closing Apps

According to what I read to force close apps you swipe up and pause then press on the app(s) till the red "X" comes up then tap the red "X" to force close.

I just found that you don't need to tap on the red "X". Do everything up to tapping on the red "X" then with your finger still on the app just "flick" it up like on the other iPhones and iPads.
