    Anyone else having activation issues on AT&T? My phone just keeps saying it can't be activated because it can't reach the activation server. I plug it in to iTunes, and it just sits on the iPhone screen.

    Hmmmm.....
    I did this morning but after I disconnected and plugged it back in it must have activated because my old phone stopped working and it let me restore it to a back up.

    So apparently, according to the CSR at AT&T, it's a carrier wide issue (as in ALL carriers). We'll see how long this takes!

    I had an issue when activating mine on Verizon. It took me trying about 3 times before it went through.

    I got a message that the activation failed and to connect to iTunes via computer to complete it. I never use iTunes and didn't even have it on my new laptop. So.....I downloaded it, connected the phone and finished the activation with no more issues. Then it continued restoring from icloud backup. And then I paired my Apple watch. Whew......I think I'm done. LOL

    Hmmmm.....
    At least you were able to buy your phone. I was at the front of the line since six PM on the 2nd. I got inside the store at 9 AM, was presented the box containing my iPhone, and proceeded to pay the installment plan fee.... and s**t hit the fan! The AT&T server crashed and my purchase was stuck in limbo for the next six hours as dedicated employees tried to reverse the transaction and, after successfully doing that, activate my phone. It failed many, many times, so after 20 hours of patiently waiting, I went home without an X in my pocket.

    At least they’re holding my reservation until AT&T decides to cooperate and I can actually complete my purchase.... Apple employees should be more people’s role models. They’re some of the most patient and helpful people I’ve ever met.

    Kind of an unrelated activation issue, but a super annoying activation issue nonetheless.
