Ohh ok, btw which app you use for the edits and the templates?

Mostly Superimpose. But also MaxCurve to edit colors, and Facetune for a variety of edits. All done on my iPhone 6s Plus. I found the Arsenal shield online, and edited the color a bit. I had to edit the size of the background to fit the Max. It was all done in Superimpose, except the color edits were in MaxCurve.

Why the 946x2048 limit? Non-integer interpolation leads to smearing of fine detail. Native resolution is recommended for a reason.

I post them with the choice of "best" on imore for what ever resolution they allow. It can't be changed (that I know of) & it's always been this way.

I think the restriction is mostly for mb size of images. In doing that, it's necessary to also cut the resolution. I don't notice any change in quality. And if I want to change it back, I can do so in the Superimpose app, or in the Image Size app.

I've been busy lately. There's a fairly new XS Max wallpaper thread. They're pretty much interchangeable with the X and XS. I think someone started a new wallpaper thread for the XR.

Awesome thanks. Was just wondering myself on this. Stands to reason the Max ones would work in general, same aspect ratio. I'm guessing the "magic border" ones don't or at least need to be zoomed into position though?

Not sure about the bordered ones. Some seem to fit both. I don't have either one.
