On here and phone, some come out good and others dont. Maybe it's just Tapatalk?

Maybe a resolution/zoom issue? Low resolution images won't look good. Some that are iPhone 8 size of 1080x1920 may not work well on the X. Different aspect ratio and resolution size. The image may get stretched. Don't know. LOL

Hmm. Don't know. Are they landscape shaped? Portrait style does better. iMore cuts the resolution of high resolution images. Then they show in TapaTalk the same. Mine here start at 1125x2436. But are cut down to 946x2024.

wallpapers work on the 64gb too but if you mean for storage, iCloud Photo Library is your friend!
