It adds a colored outline around the notch. It wouldn't matter it the border were solid black. Enjoy your rectangle with a notch.

But it’s smaller!

I don't even have the X. I'm just offering something different. Some like it, some don't. Both ways look nice. You like it better with no colored line border. That's your choice, and no one is forcing you to use any of the wallpapers on this thread. There's plenty on this thread without the border. You might like those.

I had this issue. I had to turn reduce motion off in order for them to fit right. I actually don’t mind the animations.

I love the IPX border wallpaper.. I have a hard time not using it now! It gives the wallpaper a nice little pop to it

Of course I like them! And I really appreciate that you make them for us. I’m just saying that it is smaller and doesn’t cover the screen as well if it has the border and the notch. Believe me, I have a lot of your wallpapers!!
