FedEx vs UPS

My phone is shipped through UPS and wife’s phone through FedEx.
I noticed on FedEx it requires indirect signature but don’t see any requirements on UPS. How’s everyone else’s tracking through either company look like?!

Mine is coming via FedEx and also says indirect signature. That means that somebody has to sign for it. Could be a neighbor, anybody in the house, etc. I think it’s up to the sender to determine if they want a signature or not. The value of the item shipped probably determines that.

Mine is arriving via UPS and it says signature required. Apple even provided me with a link in the notification email to print a pre-sign for delivery form.
