I didn't see anything in the demo where you can double tap the home button to bring the screen down in order to use with one hand. Did I miss something or is the option still there ?

Nope, that required the home button that the X does not have. And the frame is small enough that Reachability shouldn’t be necessary, for enough people that is.

5.8" screen, doesn't matter how small the frame is. I use this feature all the time and I only have the 4.7" screen.
