I just picked up my own personal SE today (128 GB) and I was wondering with the rumors of a newer version coming out, will the support for this one stop? I’d hate to only get a few months of use out of my phone. I plan on using this one for a while.

Support for the current SE model is unlikely to stop for a few more years. I mean, iPhone 5s got iOS 11 support and it was released over four years ago.

The SE should still be supported for a few more years.

Okay thank goodness! I thought that once they stop making a certain model that means the support for it drops as well.

SE will be supported till the 6s is. It has the same chipset as the 6s and was released in March 2016. So you'll be good till 2020 atleast, if not more

You’re fine. Same version that I have. It’s good for quite some time to come.

Just replace the battery under the $29 replacement program or use it as a trade in when new SE arrives in March.
