Which is better, iOS 9.2.3 or 9.3.3 in terms of battery life?

That makes me glad that I never updated to 9.3.2 out of laziness. I am on 9.3.3 though now because I needed to backup my phone to iTunes.

Glad you didn't. 9.3.2 was horrible man. Remember my old post when I went on boasting how great the iPhone SE's battery life was and that I can easily get 2 days out of it or even 3 days on low power mode? 9.3.2 screwed that up big time. Happy it's fixed again now I can enjoy my phone without having to constantly check the battery.
