Buying "Apple" branded leather cases on Amazon...

It's my understanding that Apple has discontinued selling the leather cases in all but 2 colors...the black and blue. But, when searching Amazon, there are a bevy of other "Apple" branded leather cases in various colors. I took a chance and bought this brown leather case for my SE. When reading customer questions, they claim that it's an official Apple case. Is anyone familiar with these cases and did I just make a 27 dollar mistake?

It's easy to write it's official or "genuine", but you are right. The SE leather cases are available in Midnight Blue and Black.

If you ever want to verify that in the future, use either the  app on your phone or visit the Accessories section of Apple website.


Look at the photos below, how off their color is.

I also wanted a saddle brown leather Apple case bit they only had black and blue at the Apple Store.

I ended up buying a saddle brown off of Amazon and am pleased with the quality so far. I'm almost positive it's not a genuine Apple product, but I'm ok with that.

I got one of these cases but in beige. It seems like the real deal, and the packaging is convincing. However, I have found that mine has discolored rather quickly. I cannot speak for the quality of the original cases, but it seems ok. It was also the cheapest one, as I only paid $17 for it with free Prime shipping.

I don't know if anyone addressed it, but a full selection of Leather cases was on display yesterday in the Walnut Creek store.

Same here in my hometown. I don't think the claim that all but two colors of leather cases have been discontinued is accurate.

That is the 6s case, I think what he is referring to is the 5s or SE cases.
