Wierd pricing everywhere except US?

Seems like Apple thinks 399$ is too little for EU. Here's RU and DE iPhone SE pricing from apple.com

I was going to pre-order one in local Apple store for a gift, but 150$ premium is just ridiculous, I'd better wait for US unlocked versions.

Not bad here, considering that I have to pay customs and GST if I were to parallel import.

$700 for the 64gb here in Sweden (I might add that I paid $1150 for the 6S plus), I don't think Apple would charge that much more in othe rcountires if it weren't for something like taxes. Mind you that 399 isn't the final price, the US price is excluding taxes.

about $100 too much

that said the 6s Plus is 1300-1400 which is 1000-1100 usd ($200 too much)
that said OUR payments are silly its like plan + 2 dozen dollars for 24 months for 6/6s/Swhatever not plan + small initial price

only recently was the 5S free on plan

but i suspect the release of the 7 may make the A9 chips less "valuable" and reduce the price slightly... problem is the non-s 6 still sells for 6s money here

400 usd was about what i paid for my 8GB 4S back in nov 2013 in hongkong so i may just do an import since my mum brought in a Note 5 no problem

Highest tax in us is 9.4% so it's like 440/550 max for the phone without warranty.

I get charged 9.4% then an additional 3% on like 90% of items here... it's CRAZY here in TN

Hmmm Im thinking of getting a friend to buy me one in the u.s.

Am I right in saying theres no region lock on iphones ? And if bought sim free, the only issue would be LTE compatibility for use here in ireland . And getting past those lovely people in customs at the airport of course....... I would save €120 ..............
