I just gotta 7th generation iPad, and tried to migrate from my iPhone 7+

I was not able to set it up via my iMac, but was able to upgrade the (new) iPad to the latest software via iTunes and my phone, then migrate info from phone to iPad. One app I use daily is Happy Color. All my completed pictures transferred, when I set up my iPad. Now, if I color a new picture on my iPhone it doesn’t show up colored on my iPad. How can I sync them so I can handoff between them?

I use Happy Color too! It’s been a great distraction during this wretched pandemic. When I finish a picture, I tap save, and it’s saved to my photos.
