I just received this notice from the IT department at work, and wanted to share in case you are using "WhatsApp".
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced yesterday that a vulnerability in WhatsApp enables remote attackers to take control of an affected device. Updating to the most recent version of WhatsApp corrects this issue.
If you use the "WhatsApp" messaging app on your mobile device, make sure you're running the most recent version: v2.19.134 (Android) or v2.19.51 (iOS). You can check your current version within WhatsApp under "Settings - Help - App info".
