Re: BeWeather v3 (Beta) for iPhone

@pfluger Is there a chance you might add the option to show the current temp as a badge on the icon? I miss that. Thank you

Re: BeWeather v3 (Beta) for iPhone

Due to issues with our hurricane data provider BeWeather is currently not displaying any tropical storm information.

We are currently working on getting this data back into the app. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

All good! I’m just happy it’s possibly coming back! Thanks.

Re: BeWeather v3 (Beta) for iPhone

@pfluger

I have a couple of issues with 13.1 beta:

1. Maps are slow and don't always show moving radar. Sometimes, I have to change zoom level to get the radar to show up. And they are slow to load. Other times they work fine.

2. Please update the widget to have a dark background in dark mode like the apple system widgets behave.

Thanks.

The widget background depends on your wallpaper color. I use a dark wallpaper, so my widget has a dark background.

I am talking about behavior under the new Dark Mode. BE3 should mirror how the apple widgets (e.g. battery widget) work. Try switching modes and look at the widgets. The apple widgets change background to match the mode. BE3 should do the same.

I like it the way it is. The transparency allows it to reflect the color of the wallpaper. I wouldn't like it doing like the battery widget. I don't think that would look good.

Here is what it looks like with dark mode on. All the other widgets are dark except BE3 so I think it should change to match in dark mode.2044BA67-3276-44BE-9C6A-D81B5DA30368.jpg

I don’t have reduce transparency on. Here are the widgets in light mode Vs dark mode in my prior post. All the other widgets change from light to dark.

Re: BeWeather v3 (Beta) for iPhone

Thanks but this is not a BE3 bug. This is ios13 new dark mode behavior. Other apps are changing to support it. So when the user switches between light and dark mode in ios13 the widgets change background color. It is part of a developer supporting the new dark mode. Other apps along with the system apps that I showed above will switch based on light or dark mode.

Ok. I guess I don’t understand why you don’t choose Dark Theme in your widget settings for BE3. It will give you the same results. And I have found several apps that have not gone Dark, as I am using Dark Mode in iOS 13

I've been on Dark Mode for a month. Mine shows dark in the widget on both light mode and dark mode.

So you just want white or black? As it is, we have more options. It can be red, black, green or other of the choices. I have mine set to "gray" in the app settings. So it looks dark gray (almost black) on the widget. When I set it to "light", the transparency shows the wallpaper colors through the widget. Like this:

If you want it black for Dark Mode, then set it in the app settings to "dark".

How is Ultimate Calendar? I’ve been using Calendars 5 for a while and love it because I really need syncing with Google Tasks. Does that app offer that? Thanks

I have no idea if it syncs with Google tasks. I have it because I beta tested it and it uses your images as background.
It syncs with iCloud for reminders, but haven't seen anything about Google tasks.
