    I upgraded to iOS 9.1 and the news app disappeared. This has happened to other people, but my religion and language is us.

    Welcome to iMore! The News app is a stock iOS app so it doesn't have to be downloaded separately and it can't be deleted. Have you checked to see if it just got moved or hidden in a folder somewhere? Swipe all the way over to the first screen on your homepage to Spotlight Search and type in "news". If it still doesn't show you may want to restore your phone.

    Have you tried restoring? If may be a botched up iOS installation.

    You show 2 pages of that folder. Swipe left and see if it's there.
