Final Fantasy 7 Gamepad Support??

I know the game just came out hours ago, but I thought I'd put this question up here in hopes that someone can answer this.

Does Final Fantasy 7 have game pad support?

I don't own a gamepad yet (nor have I purchased the game). I'm Thinking of buying a gamepad, mainly for this game, but I want to know if it will work before I go dropping my money on a gamepad and game if it's not going to work.

Also, what is everyone's favorite gamepad? Just curious.
