iCloud Photo Library issues

Anyone else find iCloud photo upload just horrendous? It could take days to upload 4 pics on my iPhone. I find I have to sit and turn wifi on and off or iCloud on and off.

Came to iOS recently because apparently it just works. Not so much with the photo handling experience.

It uploads at the most opportune times to not affect the user experience and save battery life.
Plug in your phone and leave it alone for a few minutes and it will upload quickly.
Mine generally upload within minutes. If this isn't happening for you, then I'd suspect poor wifi signal/speed.
Toggling Wifi on and off is the worst solution possible...you'd be interrupting any upload in progress.

The thing that is frustrating is my battery takes a hit from the phone trying to upload for hours.

My wifi is pretty good. Did speed test and get 25 down and 5 up. Never had issues uploading to google plus with my nexus. So don't think it's a wifi issue.
