App with background downloading?

Anyone know if there's a app out there that allows to download files in the background? Every so often I need to download a large file from the Internet, and I typically use Dolphin browser to do so but I have to keep the app open and screen on. This is something I can't always do if I'm on the run. I've been using a app called "Downloads" and at first it seemed to be getting the job done but I find it's very inconsistent so I'm hesitant to pay for the full version. This is the one thing I miss from android hit download and it just does its thing, no babysitting involved.

I have. I found a app called idownloads and its promising. I was just curious if anyone out there already knew of a good one they could recommend.
