Tapatalk update

I’ve been using the Tapatalk Pro version with the brownish gray dark mode. I just downloaded this new update and I like the black dark mode much better.

What is the difference between the pro version and the “original” versions anyway?

Pro version has less options and features and gets updated far less often now.

Humm, well it's a dark mode on my OLED Xs Max screen...Definitely not a gray brown on my iPhone.

I've seen ads on other forums in the past. But not on iMore. There may be now. I see this about ads on iMore. I think ads depends on how the forum does the plug in. TapaTalk may have their own. This is what I see with ad block enabled. It opens up, then closes. But no actual ad.

Ok Thanks. I just downloaded this version this morning, I came from the pro version. I thought at one time Tapatalk had ads. That was one of my reasons for getting the pro version years ago.

Pro is an app. VIP is not an app. VIP is just a few perks, like no ads, that the Pro app has.

I’ve had VIP for several years. No ads in either Pro or the regular app.

I hardly if ever see ads on Tapatalk ( the standard version). I do use 1Blocker and AdGuard Pro however....

I just received an email to beta test version 8.3.5 (2357). Which is the latest official version. Huh?

I have 8.3.5 , but I had to Google Tapatalk to get the download. The iOS. App Store at that time was showing 8.3.2. I have auto update enables but it hasn't aa yet done so ( early last week) but once I found a Web link I was able to download & install...The link I googled did not mention 'beta' however what I downloaded works well. It was the controversy about dark vs black colour in app which had me curious.

Many of the notifications for testing come late. I get them sometimes hours after I have updated. Sometimes the next day. That's Apple not getting them out in a timely manner.
