iCatcher. Been using it for years and it's a great app. Lots of settings.

Re: What podcast app do you use?

I don't watch / listen to podcast as much as I used to because I simply don't have the time, but I've used the following podcast apps:
  • Apple's Podcast app
  • Downcast
  • Instacast
All three worked well for me.

On Android I use BeyondPod, which I have not used since I have got my iPhone. On my iPhone I use Overcast, which is my preferred client at the moment. I also liked the stock Podcasts app, but I wanted to support some indie developer when I set up my new iPhone 2 months ago.

Overcast - I love the simple design and way playlists work. But the killer feature is SmartSpeed. Since it was launched this summer I've saved over 58 hours by it cutting out the blank spaces in peoples talking. It doesn't sound awkward either like 2x speed does on other podcast apps.

Although I am a Pocket Casts fan, I agree wholeheartedly about the Smart Speed feature. For the extra long podcasts, I use Overcast. Their voice algorithm is groundbreaking. For all the rest I prefer the features of Pocket Casts.

I use overcast for the audio on my iPhone 6 plus when I'm not home. By far it's my favorite app because the UI is simple but great. On the other hand, when I'm home and I want to watch video from my favorite podcast I use the stock app on my iPad or my Apple TV.

I haven't been a podcast person. Even in retirement, I just don't have time for anything else.

I love listening when I take my daily walk after work or hike/geocache on the weekends! Also, I listen at work, so I go through a lot!

I use the Apple stock podcast app and it works great for me!
