    Wow, is that why my phone doesnt hold a charge for long?!! I don't have very many apps that I have paid for. Do you have a link or article that I could read? Really interested.

    I also read that the same applies to Android. Must've been a different article. Downloading ads waste a lot of battery on both iOS and Android. That's why paid apps use less battery, they don't have any ads.

    I'm glad I don't have that much ad-based free apps. The ones I have, I do not use very often.

    But I do understand ads are necessary for the developers to gain income
