Presuming you have an ICloud Account and get a new phone your old phone if totally wiped clean like it had just come out of the box the new phone being registered will take it's place in iCloud. You really don't have to do anything, Log in on your phone to Find My Phone, Have Location Services on and log into icloud. If you see your new phone that is it.
