If I'm not mistaken, you can buy Apple gift cards via the Apple Store app. I'm not sure if it's limited to the U.S. or not, however.

There are also many Big Box stores that sell them as ex. Walmart and Best Buy and with all of these stores all over the world if you have any where you are check it out.

Gift cards sold in different countries are only good for apps for that country! Strange as it might seem, if you buy a UK iTunes card for a iPad that's setup with an American account, it WILL NOT work. You have to get your iTunes card in your country of origin only. Apple help can't help, they act dumb but in the very fine print, is information about this. If your planning to to travel with your iDevice get your iTunes cards before you go. This is experience talking.

International banking regulations control the use of gift cards in this way, and they are confusing enough that Apple has decided to take the easy approach and restrict gift cards to the country in which they were purchased.
