We have been working on a major update to BeWeather for iOS and we are finally nearing a release. During the last months we have put a lot of effort into completely rewriting the app.

We want to do a small beta test for BeWeather 2 using the new Apple Testflight during the next couple of days. A beta release is currently going through Apple's beta review. I will post more details later.

Yes, it will come with a widget. BeWeather 2 will be iOS 8 only.

Will we have to re-purchase BeWeather2 if we already have BeWeather??

I’ve installed and uninstalled this app so many times that I’ve lost count. I want so badly to like it, but it’s been buggy and, worse, inaccurate.

Hopefully BeWeather 2 will be a more solid product. And, of course, I’ll have to pay for it again, so yeah, there’s that.

    $10 for BB
    $10 $3 for iOS
Not sure I want to do it again, no manner how good it turns out to be.

BeWeather has worked well on my 5s (including the temp badge). I find it to be as accurate as the rest of my weather apps.

No, we are trying to figure out a way to give away BeWeather 2 to anyone who already purchased BeWeather for iOS before. It is probably going to be via promotion codes.

Oh okay. Sounds like a plan. I would think just an update to BeWeather 2

I'd like to try it, but not for $10. The weather apps I use are pretty accurate.

BeWeather for iOS never was $10.

The in-app purchase to upgrade to the Pro version was $2.99.
BeWeather 2 will be in the same price range.

My apologies. It's been a while, and it was an honest mistake.

I wish you luck with the second version. Been waiting for the update that I knew was coming. I just didn't know how long(a polished product is better than a buggy one).

It looks like we can already add testers to Testflight even while the app is still in beta review.

So if you are interested in testing, send me a PM with your e-mail address!

You should get an invite to download the beta once Apple approves the beta.

    pfluger,

You have a real winner here! I really like the app, the UI, and the customization features.

How do you want feedback sent to you? In this thread?

One feature/gesture I would like is to tap on the main temperature number and have the main view 'reset':
    1. Scroll to the top, close the map, close the forecast graph if expanded.

I keep touching the temp to try to reset the view and also trying to pull down the page so the top is perfectly aligned.
    I hope this makes sense.

A variation of this would be it you tap on the main temp number it closes map, etc. and if you tap on it again it goes back to prior view with map open.

I have added various locations, played with icon/font setting have had no issues so far.

    Great job!

You should have received your invite by now, too. Make sure you check your spam folder. That's where I found my invite when I was testing the system.
