I'd really like background refreshes/downloads of podcasts on my old iPhone 4 that now serves up music to the radio in my car, via the iPod/Media connector. The Apple Podcasts app lets me browse / control / change podcasts easily as they appear in the music/playlist structure that is presented on the head unit screen.
Do any of the 3rd party podcast apps, with background refreshes, allow such integration? I've seen 3rd party apps read from the device's music library, but I have not seen any that write to it. I'd just rather not nickel and dime my way through the app store to find this out.
