In the meantime, take some time to get familiar with the App and Developer Forum Rules & Guidelines as well as the members of this community whom you just introduced your app to. Take care…

this looks like a nice, clean user interface for the app. I'm definately interested in trying it out when it's avail !!
ShopIt App likes this.09-26-2013 12:52 PMLike 1 - I am interested in this app, as well. Specifically, I am looking for something like this app that supports iCloud sharing of the shopping list. I am constantly having to copy/paste my shopping list into a text message for my wife. Does this support iCloud-shared lists?ShopIt App likes this.09-26-2013 01:01 PMLike 1
- Hi ThePinkChameleon,
Thanks for your feedback, we will notify you on the forum as soon as it is available!09-26-2013 01:48 PMLike 0 -
- Hi Fausty82,
Thank you for your interest. We do not have sync between devices (something that we call "family account") right now but this is a number 1 thing on our roadmap. For now I can say that ShopIt will stop your copy/pasting activitiesbecause send list by SMS or Email feature is already there!

- First of all welcome to iMore and I have noticed that other members have asked you questions and you have answered back so that is big being hands on and answering them yourself. That makes members feel at ease dealing with Developers this way. I hope you have much success with your shopping app because I know this is big. Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions.ShopIt App likes this.09-26-2013 08:06 PMLike 1

Thank you for all warm wishes and your attention. We are very happy to hear all questions and comments. iMore's community is just amazing and very responsive (the beston the internet, believe me, I've checked that
).
We are very community oriented company so please keep questions and comments coming!09-27-2013 01:54 AMLike 0 - Wow, looks tasty!
1. Are you going to have some discount period?
2. When will you plan to have version for Android? (because my wife is using HTC and I would like to have sync between iPhone & HTC)ShopIt App likes this.09-30-2013 01:15 PMLike 1 -
Thank you for your questions.
1. $0.99 is already a discounted price and our app will cost 99 cents only until release of the next major version. Everyone who buys ShopIt now will get new features (including sync) at no additional cost.
2. We are planning to release Android version next year. For now I would recommend to use "Send by SMS" or "Send by email" features to share your shopping lists.
P.S. We are now available on the App Store!Just_Me_D and ThePinkChameleon like this.10-01-2013 10:02 AMLike 2 - thank you for the notification ShopIt !! I have downloaded it and I'm currently setting up a list as my day goes on, to try it out
🎀Sent from my pink-a-licious 4S🎀ShopIt App likes this.10-01-2013 10:33 AMLike 1 - Ok, so I've had a chance to put items on a list and use it in action at the grocery store today, being that I wound up needing to take a trip there for about 15 items
I like the pre-stored items included and the ease to add them to a list with a swipe. Adding your own items is just easy as well. After completing my shopping trip, the items that I swiped as purchased remained on the bottom of the list crossed out, so this is handy if I need to re-add an item, it can be done again with just a swipe. I choose to use the pink theme because the green made the font a little difficult for me to see.
Overall, I do like the set up and how clean & simple the interface of it is. However, there would be 2 changes that I suggest: 1) I'd like to be able to have the list be put together according by category. By this I mean, I had 2 items with the "frozen"(snowflake) icon, but they were in 2 seperate parts of the list and I did almost over look one of my items. So maybe having the list with a sort choice by 'category'(icon) would be a nice addition. 2nd) When adding your own custom item, being able to tap on it to edit it. I added "microwave popcorn light butteh" but i mis-spelled butter, so I had to delete the whole entry to add it correctly. Unless there is a way to edit a custom entry that I over looked (?)
Overall, I do really like this list app & I see myself continuing to use it. I do tend to favor apps that have swipe gestures more so than ones that have 'taps' to initiate an action. It just seems more of a natural action to me when using my phone....call me crazyLOL. I know this is just your debut and I will look forward to any updates that you may have in mind for the future !!
Thank you for bringing this great app to the app store

Thank you so much for your feedback! We really-really-really appreciate it.
You are right - there is no option to edit custom products in version 1.0.0
But I have good news - after a short conversation inside the company we have put both items into our road map, so you can expect shopping cart category sorting feature and editing feature for custom products in the next few months! And we have some more small but great features to come. So stay tuned!

- Hey all
I'm still using this app and enjoying it I do have another (hopefull) request - when doing a search for an item that's not on the native list or something we already added, in our shopping cart section, I'd like to be able to still add it without having to go back to the main list page, type it again and then add it. Thank you for your proposal, I'm happy to see your ideas on how to improve our app. And I'm even more happy to see that you are using the app on a daily basis.
Could you tell me more details about how are you using the app? Do you create a new list on the shopping cart screen by 'unpurchasing' things you need for the new list or you accidentally start to create a new list on the shopping cart screen and then realize that you need to go back to products screen? Are you using shake on the shopping cart screen to clear the list? Are you using smart sorting on products screen? Are you using 'add with description' long tap functionality?
In the meanwhile we have released ShopIt 1.0.1 that has some fixes for Japanese and Chinese localizations (if that matters for you at all) and minor UI improvements to make ShopIt even more pixel-perfect.
And here is some art, created by our amazing designer

10-11-2013 02:13 AMLike 0 - Ok, so here's how I have this set up. I have smart sorting & save description set to ON. When I first purchased your app, I created one big list for when I have a big shopping trip my items are in the cart. I then swiped the items I didn't want on the list at the time as "purchased", placing them on the bottom of the list crossed out but ready for me to swipe them back onto the list (as not purchased) if I needed that particular item. I make one large trip once weekly, then I only use the list daily for items needed that night for preparing dinner. So during the week for just dinner items & a few additional things I have maybe 10-15 items in the list daily.
I never use the shake to clear feature - I let all items I'm not putting into my cart at that time just remain at the bottom of the shopping cart section crossed out till I need to swipe them up onto the list as add to cart (not purchased)

Thank you for spending time to write this story. We appreciate that a lot.
We are discussing your story and trying to find a way to satisfy your needs.
While our team is trying to find the best way to do it right I hope that I have some alternative.
With smart sorting enabled, all items that are in your shopping list should be on top of your products list. So top items of the list on Products screen should be almost equal to what you have on Shopping cart screen. Could you give it a try and create your shopping list on Products screen?
In version 1.1 we will release ability to delete standard items on Products screen. Overall I hope that version 1.1 will better suit your needs
One more time, thank you for describing you usage of our app. You are helping us to understand our users better and we are happy about itLast edited by ShopIt App; 10-17-2013 at 09:49 AM.
